Job Description:
A truly exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced procurement professional, with a background in public sector procurement, to join this London based organisation on a permanent basis. As the procurement manager, you will be the person in charge of the procurement function and be responsible for implementing procurement processes, strategies and best practice as well as deliver on tender exercises, contract management requirements and develop stakeholder management.
Working as part of the finance directorate, you will need to be a hands on individual who has previous experience in managing procurement projects inline with public sector regulations as well as an understanding of frameworks that could be utilised. You will also need to be able to deep dive into existing contracts, ensuring that they are understood.
This is a new role for the organisation, and all procurement before hand has been managed to an external consultancy so you will also need to build a relationship there so you can truly understand the procurement processes that have gone before and what is needed to bring the function back in house.
To be successful in the role you will need to be a hands on and experienced procurement professional and ideally MCIPS or studying towards the qualification. Experienced of PCR and of working within another public sector role is also essential.
This is a permanent role with 2 days a week in the London office and paying circa £55.000.
