Learning Mentor - Bradford
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Mentor to join our team for a primary school based in Bradford BD18, the role is to start in January for a term initially, however this could turn into a perm position for the right candidate.
The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in guiding and supporting individuals, particularly in educational settings. This position requires a strong commitment to fostering personal and academic growth, utilising effective communication skills, and implementing behaviour management techniques. The Mentor will work closely with children, particularly in early childhood education, to create a nurturing and stimulating environment.
Responsibilities
*Provide one-on-one support to students, helping them navigate academic challenges and personal development.
*Implement tailored educational strategies that cater to individual learning styles and needs.
*Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to foster a collaborative learning environment.
*Utilise behaviour management techniques to promote positive behaviour and engagement in the classroom.
*Educate students in various subjects, including maths, while integrating physical education activities to enhance overall development.
*Assist in the planning and execution of activities that support early childhood education principles.
*Maintain accurate records of student progress and provide feedback to relevant stakeholders.
*Foster a safe and supportive atmosphere for all students, ensuring their emotional and physical well-being.
Qualifications
*Proven experience in mentoring or teaching roles, particularly within childcare or early childhood education settings.
*Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with children and adults alike.
*Knowledge of behaviour management strategies and applied behaviour analysis techniques.
*Familiarity with physical education principles and the ability to incorporate them into mentoring sessions.
*A background in childcare or early childhood education is highly desirable.
*Experience working with toddlers is an advantage.
*A passion for educating young minds and a commitment to their holistic development.
