Practice Accountant
Ripon
£27k to £45k pa (D.O.E)
Full or Part Time
Invigorate Recruitment is working with its client in Ripon, a successful Accountancy Practice, to recruit a Practice Accountant to an expanding team to assist in the preparation of accounts.
Main Responsibilities:
*Preparation and review of Accounts for Sole Traders, Partnerships and Limited Companies
*Preparation and review of Self-Assessment Tax Returns for Sole Traders, Individuals and Partnerships
*Preparation, review and submission of VAT Returns
*Provision of client-focused support including client meetings
*Communicate and liaise verbally and in writing between clients/visitors/enquirers and staff and interpret and respond clearly and effectively to spoken requests over the phone or in person, and to verbal or written instructions
*Manage, organise and update relevant data using database applications
Qualifications
*ACCA/ICAEW qualified or part qualified or equivalent: qualified by experience min 5 years. QBE also considered
*Recent and relevant experience in a practice environment Strong knowledge of computerised accounting systems
*Conscientious, committed and reliable Able to work to tight deadlines without compromising the quality of your work
*Good working knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook as well as accounting and accounts preparation software
