About the Role
This exciting opportunity is with a leading leisure organisation based on the outskirts of the Lake District. You will report to the Financial Controller, support a team of 3 and play a key role in business partnering with other areas of the business.
*Policy & Control Development: Designing and implementing effective financial policies, procedures, and controls to ensure compliance and efficiency.
*Financial Reporting & Analysis: Preparing and analyzing financial reports to ensure accuracy, compliance, and completeness.
*Budgeting & Forecasting: Leading budgeting and forecasting processes to provide insights and drive informed decision-making.
*Strategic Financial Planning: Overseeing financial planning and analysis, continuously identifying opportunities for financial improvements.
*Collaborative Support: Working with cross-functional teams to support key decisions, ensuring that financial insights drive business performance.
*Cash Flow & Risk Management: Monitoring cash flow, managing financial risks, and providing strategic guidance to the Head of Finance.
What You’ll Bring
*Qualifications: CIMA / ACCA qualified or equivalent relevant experience.
*Experience: Proven experience as a Finance Manager or in a similar leadership role, with strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and reporting standards.
*Analytical Strength: Advanced skills in financial modelling and analysis (Excel proficiency is essential).
*Leadership & Management: Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a team, motivating colleagues to achieve excellence.
*Communication Skills: Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate financial insights effectively.
*Organizational Skills: Ability to manage a demanding workload and meet tight deadlines without compromising on accuracy.
*ERP System Knowledge: Experience implementing ERP systems is a plus.
The ideal candidate will have a strong finance background along with advanced IT skills. An attractive salary plus benefits package is on offer along with flexible working.
