Job Description:
The Director of Procurement - Head of Indirect Procurement will lead and oversee all indirect procurement activities for our public sector client. The successful candidate will develop strategic procurement plans, ensure operational efficiency, and drive cost savings initiatives. You will be managing a team of 20 and implementing new ways of working.

Description
As a senior procurement leader you will we be responsible for the development and execution of category strategies driving value, compliance, effective performance management and improvement. You will help with the business strategy, deliver key objectives, develop partner relationships and manage the delivery of a major part of the organisation’ supplier management program within a large complex environment.
*Manage the delivery of a major part of the organisations procurement strategy and support major procurement programs.
*Managing a team of 20 and leading of strategic input
*Develop and implement strategic procurement plans for indirect categories
*Foster strong relationships with suppliers and stakeholders
*Promote and ensure adherence to procurement policies and procedures
*Drive cost savings and efficiencies in the procurement process
*Oversee contract negotiations and supplier selection
*Manage a team of procurement professionals, ensuring their development and performance
*Monitor procurement performance metrics and produce reports for senior management
*Stay abreast of industry trends and changes in regulations
Profile
A successful Director of Procurement - Head of Indirect Procurement should have:
*A proven track record working as senior procurement professional as a Director/ Head of Procurement or Commercial leader who have work across multiple categories in a large complex organisation.
*Proven experience in a senior procurement role ideally within health care (not essential)
*Strong leadership and team management skills of 15+ managers across a complex organisation
*Excellent negotiation and relationship management abilities. You will need to be commercially minded with a passion for people
*A thorough understanding of procurement processes and strategies
*A strong understanding of the procurement act 2023 and ability to do public sector procurement
*A degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
