We are looking for a Senior Data Insights Adviser to join our team on a permanent basis.


Where in Wellcome will I be working?


You will be working as part of the Strategy & Governance team, reporting to the Associate Director of Strategy & Governance.


You will be working with teams across Wellcome Trust and supporting Wellcome Collection teams to drive towards our collective strategic ambition in a consistent and joined-up way.


What will I be doing?

You will be the central point for all the data generated across Wellcome Collection, internally, across Wellcome or commissioned by contracted third parties.


You will be working with key stakeholders to define requirements and then lead on the use of qualitative and/or quantitative analysis skills to build easy to use data products and then clearly communicate your analysis delivering robust insights and recommendations.


Your work will help provide insights to develop our practise and aid decision making to achieve Wellcome Collection’s vision of a world where everyone’s experience of health matters


We are looking for someone who can:

Address key problem(s) the organisation is trying to solve through scoping solutions to complex problems and/or shaping a workstream and its roadmap

* Lead and contribute to projects, advising on and determining appropriate and innovative qualitative and/or quantitative methods and applying these to solve complex problems


* Advocate for appropriate data governance that any issues with data quality or gaps are resolved with the appropriate Wellcome Collection teams


* Shape, create and contribute to documentation, reports and dashboards to support the dissemination of research, analysis and insights


* Effectively and clearly communicate technical findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders


* Contribute to a diverse and inclusive culture across the organisation, collaborating across departments.



Is this job for me?


You will have experience of working as a data manager within a museum or gallery context, overseeing data generated across the organsiation and the formulation of insights. .


This experience will have given you the skills to quickly build rapport and credibility with key stakeholders and have the ability to translate complex information to non-technical users.

You will be well organised and able to work under pressure, effectively prioritising, planning and meeting deadlines whilst delivering high-quality work

You will have an inquiring mind and a creative and collaborative approach to solving complex problems


You will be flexible and adaptive to different teams, working styles and environments, and quick to learn about complex teams and the ways they operate.

You will be inspired to work as part of a team that is dedicated to inclusive and sustainable practice.


We are looking for somebody who possesses:


* Strong experience with all stages of the data analysis process (problem identification and structuring, data collection and storage, data investigation and exploratory analysis, data cleaning and manipulation, analysis and modelling, visualisation and communication)


* Strong project management experience - from conception to development to delivery


* Familiarity with KPIs and using data to understand performance


* The ability to interrogate and interpret requirements from technical and non-technical stakeholders, and to advise them on the best approaches


* Exceptional data analysis skills, including the ability to handle a variety of complex datasets
