Maintenance Assistant
A leading London Law Firm is seeking to hire a Maintenance Assistant to join their Facilities Department on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will be motivated and pro-active with a ’can-do’ approach and understand privacy and confidentiality. This role will be reporting into the Buildings Manager/Assistant Buildings Manager and will play a vital role in monitoring and ensuring the safe and smooth running of their two buildings.
*Salary – £30,000 per annum plus excellent benefits
*Working hours – 09:30-17:30 (Monday-Friday in the office)
Maintenance Assistant Key Responsibilities (but not limited to):
*Assist the Facilities Department with maintenance tasks, including managing heating/cooling systems, replacing light bulbs, performing minor electrical and decoration work, and updating PPM reports
*Support the development of BigHand workflows and carry out internal PPM tasks (e.g., water testing, emergency light checks)
*Set up and re-set meeting rooms for events, move furniture, and install new items like desks, cabinets, and appliances
*Assist with workstation and furniture moves, coordinating larger moves with the moving team
*Respond to maintenance emergencies (blockages, burst pipes, electrical faults) and report any issues to the appropriate source
Maintenance Assistant Key Skills & Requirements:
*Previous experience in maintenance tasks
*Ability to work independently and as part of a team
*Available to work onsite weekdays, primarily at the main office with occasional travel to their second building/London office
*Strong organisational skills with the ability to set up rooms for events and meetings, and willingness to rearrange furniture as required
