Job Opportunity: Commercial Gas Engineer
Location: Milton Keynes & Surrounding Areas
Salary - Up to £45,000
We are currently assisting a valued client in their search for an experienced Commercial Gas Engineer to join their expanding team on a full-time, permanent basis. The company, based in Milton Keynes, operates within
the commercial and industrial sectors across Buckinghamshire and surrounding areas, delivering high-quality services to a diverse range of clients.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Commercial Gas Engineer, you will be responsible for the planned and reactive maintenance of commercial heating systems, ensuring the continued smooth operation of equipment for a number of prestigious commercial clients.
Your main duties will include:
Service, repair, and installation of commercial heating systems (boilers and associated equipment)
Diagnostic fault finding and troubleshooting
Purging, strength testing, and installation of gas pipework (up to or above 6”)
Completing and maintaining PPM (Planned Preventative Maintenance) paperwork
Ensuring efficient maintenance and repair of plant equipment
Adhering to company policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with Health and Safety regulations
Carrying out work in a safe and professional manner at all times
Required Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, you must hold the following essential qualifications and experience:
OFTEC
COCN1 Core Commercial Gas Safety
ICPN1 Installation First Fix on Commercial Pipework
CIGA1 Indirect Fired Commercial Appliances
CDGA1 Direct Fired Commercial Appliances
CORT1 Overhead Radiant Tube & Radiant Plaque Heaters
TPCP1a Tightness Testing & Direct Purging of Pipework (up to 1m³)
Minimum of 2 years’ experience working in commercial environments
Full, clean UK driving license
Desirable Qualifications:
IPAF-Certified PAL Card
WRAS qualifications
TPCP1 Tightness Testing & Purging (above 1m³)
