Job Description:
Our client is an insurance company based in Guildford. They are looking for a Finance Manager to join their team, reporting to the Finance Director and managing a Finance Assistant.
This is a fully office based role i.e. no hybrid/home working.
Duties:
*Preparation of Monthly Management Accounts
*Production of monthly bordereaux/insurer statements and payments
*Follow financial policies, procedures and controls and assist in their development to ensure they conform to generally accepted accounting principles and meet regulatory requirements
*Manage the day to day workload of the Finance Assistant
*Prepare ad hoc reports as required by directors
*Prepare the monthly Client Money Calculation in accordance with CASS requirements
*Working with the Operations Director ensure accurate processing of the Payroll
*Complete payments and support administration of Company Pension Scheme
*Support the Budget and Forecasting process
*Support Year End Accounts Preparation and Support the Annual Audit Process
*Support preparation of FCA Gabriel reporting
*Working with Finance Director seek to ensure suppliers provide best value and service as required
*Reporting line by line detail to underwriters
*Ensure accurate processing of income into the Sector System
*Support the reconciliation of the Broker Accounts - Payables and Receivables - Terracotta, Freshstart and Wholesale Accounts
*Liaising with colleagues to resolve issues and queries
*Maintain daily cashflow
