Job Description:
Our client, a high-end Gastro Pub/Restaurant Group, are looking for a Deputy General Manager to join their dedicated team at their site in Reading, Berkshire.
Our client created their pub group in order to bring London quality to the home counties. They offer fresh British produce with a modern approach and are looking for an organised & charismatic leader who can engage and inspire their team whilst also building rapport with the local community.

Responsibilities:
*Supervise, train, and motivate a team to deliver consistently exceptional customer service. Assist in recruitment, onboarding, and staff development.
*Oversee daily operations, ensure adherence to health and safety standards, and monitor quality control in both food and service.
*Champion warm, attentive, and efficient service, ensuring all guests have a memorable dining experience.
*Support in managing budgets, monitoring expenditures, and controlling costs. Contribute to monthly reports on sales, costs, and profit margins.
*Manage stock levels, coordinate orders, and maintain good relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery and quality ingredients.
Deputy General Manager Requirements:
*Prior experience in a management role within a food-focused pub, restaurant, or similar setting
*A strong understanding of food and beverage operations, including kitchen and bar management
*Excellent leadership and people management skills
*An eye for detail, particularly in maintaining food presentation, cleanliness, and overall venue appearance
*Financial acumen, with experience in budgeting and cost control
*Exceptional communication skills and a customer-centric attitude
