Randstad Student & Worker Support are looking for reliable and committed individuals to work with students in Suffolk to provide examination support for students living with disabilities.
Working as an examination support worker you will be providing an essential service to students with disabilities whilst having the chance to learn something new everyday. You will be acting as either a "Prompt", "Reader" and/or a "Scribe" for the students who struggle to make their own notes due to the challenges associated with living with a disability.

Responsibilities:
*To repeat any questions for the student where requires
*To scribe the information the student requires to be written as their examination answers
*To be clear written/typed responses
*To have excellent spelling, grammar and punctuation
*To ensure that the examination rules are followed at all times
*To ensure student confidentiality, professionalism and respect at all times
Requirements:
*Clear presentation of written work
*Knowledge of the barriers that disabled people may experience in higher education
*Understanding of confidentiality issues and role boundaries
*Experience of working with disabled individuals is desirable
Desirable:
*Experience of the Higher Education environment/experience
*Experience of supporting disabled adults
*Knowledge of the University campus
Successful applicants will be invited to take part in a telephone assessment followed by a typing test and also interviewed to discuss suitability for the role.
