Voids Surveyor
Location: East London
Contract Type: Temporary/Contract
Salary: £300 - £350 per day

An esteemed council is seeking a dedicated and professional Voids Surveyor to join its Asset Management team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced housing surveyor to contribute to the effective repair, maintenance, improvement, and re-servicing of council-owned, managed, and leased properties.
Key Responsibilities:
*Provide high-quality housing surveying services in line with the council’s policies and procedures.
*Manage specific work streams, including disrepair, estate improvement, asbestos management, minor works, or reactive and planned repairs.
*Execute an effective responsive repair, planned maintenance, and project management service to meet the needs of the organisation.
*Take the lead in key areas of responsibility, mentoring and coaching other team members to enhance overall team effectiveness.
*Occasionally work evenings, weekends, and public holidays to meet consultation and service requirements.
Reporting Structure:
The Voids Surveyor will report directly to either the Major Works & Voids Manager or the Disrepair & Special Projects Manager, depending on their area of specialty.
Requirements:
*Proven experience in housing surveying with a strong understanding of repair and maintenance processes.
*Excellent project management skills and the ability to lead and coach team members.
*Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a commitment to providing high-quality customer service.
*Flexibility to work outside of regular hours as required.
