About Our Client
Our client is a dynamic and fast-paced organisation seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Finance Analyst to join their team. The role offers the opportunity to play a pivotal part in driving financial excellence, ensuring robust controls, and delivering insightful analysis to support decision-making.
The Role
As a Senior Finance Analyst, you will work closely with cross-functional teams. This is a hands-on role requiring both technical expertise and strong leadership skills. You will also line manage and mentor finance analysts, ensuring the delivery of high-quality outputs.
Key Responsibilities:
*Month-End Coordination: Oversee the preparation and coordination of month-end journals for revenue, cost of sales, and overheads, including reviewing and preparing some journals.
*Team Oversight: Review and validate the work of finance analysts to ensure accuracy and compliance.
*Budgeting and Planning: Contribute to the creation of the annual budget and planning processes, ensuring alignment with organisational goals.
*Financial Reporting: Assist with the monthly monitoring of revenue, costs, and overheads. Produce reports across multiple segmentations with detailed variance analysis.
*Balance Sheet Review: Regularly review balance sheet control accounts, managing the processes to explain and document all movements.
*Problem-Solving: Identify and escalate potential issues between wholesaler charges and revenue, liaising with relevant teams for resolution.
*Compliance and Deadlines: Ensure all month-end tasks meet strict deadlines and comply with the organisation’s financial control requirements.
*Process Improvement: Drive business improvements based on issues identified in monthly reporting and control accounts.
*Collaboration: Provide support to other finance teams as required, fostering a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement.
*Leadership: Manage and develop finance analysts, promoting a positive and high-performing team environment.
What We’re Looking For:
*Qualifications: Working towards ACCA or CIMA.
*Experience: Proven experience in financial analysis, month-end reporting, and balance sheet management.
*Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in financial systems and advanced Excel skills.
*Leadership: Experience managing and mentoring team members.
*Problem-Solving: Analytical mindset with the ability to identify and resolve financial discrepancies.
*Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly.
*Time Management: Ability to meet tight deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.
