I am recruiting for a Junior Buyer to join my manufacturing client near Basildon.  This is a full time, permanent role and an immediate start is available for the right candidate.  

The role will include assisting with procurement from our strategic suppliers, focusing on optimising costs, lead times, quality, and service. Y

Daily Responsibilities:

*Assist with procurement planning and forecasting price trends 
*Gather, analyse, interpret and act upon market intelligence 
*Purchase materials in line with requirements/shortfall/MRP 
*Inventory management 
*Assist with day to day procurement operations 
*Negotiate and agree on contracts 
*Maintain supplier relationships 
*Attend supplier meetings where necessary 
*Any other procurement activities as and when required to support the team.  

Requirements for the role? 

• Working towards CIPS qualification or the desire to qualify
• Proven experience within a procurement team 
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

This role requires on site working and parking is provided.
