Job Description:
Secondary Cover Supervisor Needed in Horsham At Engage, we’re working with a school that has a good Ofsted rating near Horsham to recruit a full-time cover supervisor who can join the team in its commitment to improving the attainment of all pupils. This is a great opportunity to join a close-knit team and make a real difference in the lives of your pupils.
About the role You will be leading lessons and covering in the absence of class teachers for varying subjects at a good Ofsted-rating school near Horsham as soon as possible. This school is all about innovation and creating a well-balanced learning environment for the students.
You will receive training provided by the school and Engage Education and will be a part of a close and dynamic team. This role has very little planning and marking. This is a good opportunity to work at an OFSTED ’Good’ school that is very supportive and whose core principles are to challenge, evolve and nurture pupils.

About you * Experience working with students aged 11-16
* Flexibility to work on different subjects
* Confident managing behaviour
* An ability to build rapport with students
* Have a fun but firm presence
* An interest in education
We welcome applications from candidates with any level of experience, although previous experience of working with students with challenging behaviour will be an advantage. If you are an aspiring teacher, or an experienced cover supervisor looking for a position, this opportunity could be ideal for you. This role could also suit a candidate with experience of working as a Youth Worker or Behaviour Mentor.
