We are looking for a passionate individual to act as sole caretaker at a school. Undertaking general maintenance tasks and inspections of the school, reporting any findings, issues or health & safety concerns.
  
Main Responsibilities:
  
*In this role you will be responsible for the locking and unlocking of the school, security of the premises and general day to day maintenance
*Carry out general maintenance tasks as required, managing any reactive repairs or reporting of any issues that would need to be carried out by an external company
*You will be responsible for general handyman duties, including repairing of leaky taps, testing fire alarms and general decorating
*Inspect the school for damages or vandalism, managing any defects, reporting to the premises manager or head teacher
*Manage emergency cleaning including unblocking of drains, toilets and clearing up broken glass
*Ensure compliance with the environmental protection act by clearing up litter inside and outside of the building
*General portering including moving tables and desks when required
*In the case of serious damage or break-ins, liaise with premises manager/headteacher – in their absence the police or fire brigade
  
Job Requirements
*A full UK Driving Licence
*Working knowledge of COSH
*Previous experience in a similar role
*Able to demonstrate good practical knowledge and experience in trade works
*DBS required
