Day-to-day of the role:
*Support students with SEMH needs in both their academic and personal development.
*Implement individualised strategies to manage and improve challenging behaviours.
*Foster a safe and inclusive learning environment that promotes student well-being.
*Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external agencies to support comprehensive student progress.
*Utilise trauma-informed practices to better understand and address the needs of students.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Proven experience working with children who display challenging behaviours.
*Strong character and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
*Deep understanding and empathy towards the diverse backgrounds of our pupils.
*Preferable: Knowledge of trauma-informed care principles.
*Transferable experience from roles such as support worker, care homes, young offenders, etc.
