Job Description:
We are looking for a qualified Finance Mananger, ideally with experience in the practice world for a client in Nottingham. 

Key Responsibilities:
*Oversee the preparation and analysis of financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
*Manage the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring all financial statements are accurate and compliant with regulatory standards.
*Provide insightful financial analysis and recommendations to improve business performance.
*Support budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning activities.
*Manage cash flow and ensure efficient allocation of resources.
*Review tax compliance and collaborate with external auditors for the annual audit process.
*Lead and mentor a team of junior accountants, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
*Build and maintain relationships with clients, assisting them with financial matters as required.
*Develop and implement efficient financial processes and controls to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Qualifications and Experience:
*ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualification or equivalent (or qualified by experience).
*Proven experience (minimum of 3 years) in a finance role within an accounting practice or similar environment.
*Strong understanding of UK GAAP, tax regulations, and financial reporting requirements.
*Excellent knowledge of accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, Sage) and advanced Excel skills.
*Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
*Proven leadership experience and ability to manage and develop a team.
*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
*Highly organized with a keen eye for detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
Desirable Skills:
*Experience in financial management within a practice-focused organization or professional services firm.
*Knowledge of IFRS or international accounting standards is an advantage.
*Prior exposure to financial systems implementation or process improvements.
