Job Description:
Finance Controller
Location: Cheltenham
Salary: £45,000 - £50,000
Hours: 37.5 hours per week | Monday-Friday
Start Date: ASAP following completion of checks
About the Role
Join a dynamic and growing education charity as their new Finance Controller. This is a unique opportunity to lead financial operations, provide strategic insights, and help shape the future of a respected institution.
Key Responsibilities:
*Lead and manage three finance teams (Billing, Purchasing, Payroll).
*Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
*Ensure compliance with financial regulations, including VAT and Charities SORP.
*Collaborate on financial strategy and digital transformation projects.
*Supervise payroll, manage cash flow, and optimise investments.
*Contribute to audits and liaise with the internal auditor.
About You
We’re looking for a highly motivated finance professional with:
*Ideally fully-qualified with experience in financial management.
*Excellent analytical and leadership skills.
*Strong knowledge of compliance, VAT, and charity finance.
*Experience with financial software and automation projects.
