Job Description:
Job Title: Accounts Assistant
Salary: £13.00 p/h
Hours: Flexible (24-30hrs p/w - to be agreed with successful candidate)
Based: Kington, Herefordshire (HR5)
We are recruiting for a proficient Accounts Assistant to join the accounts team, starting as soon as possible, reporting to the Finance Manager(s). You will be working for a well-known and well-respected manufacturing and electrical installation company servicing the water and waste-water sector, employing around 50 staff.
Essential Skills and Experience
*Sage accounting software (or equivalent)
*General accountancy
*Good communication skills including excellent telephone manner
*Confidence in speaking to customers/suppliers
*Microsoft Office including Word and Excel
Desirable Skills and Experience
*Eque2 construction software
*AAT Level 2 in Accountancy or equivalent
Main Duties and Responsibilities
*Inputting bills onto accounting software Eque2 posting to Sage accounts
*Customer invoicing
*Director’s expenses
*Directors’ mileage claims
*Assisting with bank reconciliation, ensuring all transactions are on the system
*Employee one off expenses
*Employee Barclaycard - credit card receipts
*Customer payments - inputting on Sage
*Creating contract numbers, updating customer files and relevant excel sheets
*Answering telephone calls
*Assist with year-end stock control
