Older Prisoner Co-ordinator
HOURS: 26.25 hours per week; full days Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, half day tbc Mon or Fri 0.7 FTE
Salary: £25,623 (Pro rata)
Role Type: Perm
Location: Bristol
As an Older Prisoner Co-ordinator you will play an integral role in supporting the rehabilitation and reintegration of older prisoners into society. *Facilitate the development and implementation of tailored support plans for older prisoners, addressing their individual needs and challenges.
*Collaborate with external agencies and community partners to create pathways for employment, housing, and healthcare, promoting successful reintegration.
*Advocate for the rights and dignity of older prisoners, striving to create a rehabilitative environment that fosters hope and second chances.
Preferred Requirements:
*Demonstrated experience in offender management or rehabilitation programs
*Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with individuals from diverse backgrounds
*Understanding of the challenges faced by older individuals within the criminal justice system
*Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
*Empathy, patience, and a non-judgmental approach towards supporting individuals through their reintegration journey
Preferred Qualifications:
*A relevant degree or professional accreditation in social work, criminology, psychology, or a related field
*Additional training or certification in rehabilitation or reintegration practices
*Experience working within the justice system or with vulnerable populations is highly desirable
