Job Description:
The Chartered Institute of Export and International Trade was established over 85 years ago to support UK businesses in growing their international markets and trade. The Chartered Institute is the leading association of exporters and importers. We provide education and training to professionalise the UK’s international traders.
We are now recruiting a Business Development Executive to support our business customers and develop new relationships by increasing awareness of our products and services.
This is a remote role that requires occasional travel to our office in either Peterborough or London for team meetings.
JOB BRIEF
As a Business Development Executive you will be at the forefront of telemarketing campaigns and direct customer engagement.
You will be following leads generated by marketing campaigns and initiating new customer engagement with outbound telephone calls. You will have the opportunity to represent the business at events and a successful candidate could progress to BDM level within three years.
Your targets will be numerical focused on revenue generation and leads converted to meetings.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
*To ensure the effectiveness, efficiency and professionalism of sales leads follow up and membership acquisition and retention.
*To deliver on revenue and conversion targets
*To run telesales campaigns based on product upsell, product launch and funding opportunities.
*To manage the distribution and sharing of data spreadsheets
*To ensure that procedures and practices are adopted to provide efficient and seamless sales leads follow up communication
*To ensure the continuous improvement and development of sales leads processes
*To provide data reports as required by line manager
*To agree and deliver sales targets aligned to strategic KPIs
*To liaise with internal stakeholders to ensure that a consistent service is provided
*To collate member feedback to ensure that processes and procedures are effective
*Attend external meetings and events as required
*To undertake any other duties and projects at the request of the line manager.
PERSON SPECIFICATION:
Essential Criteria:
*Outstanding telesales skills
*A self starter
*Excellent time management skills
*Excellent experience and knowledge of working in a telesales environment
*Confident telephone manner
*Excellent knowledge of Excel
*Good analytical ability
*Good interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate and motivate others
*Strong administrative skills, with the ability to organize and prioritize workload
*Good IT skills - Microsoft Office suite
