Regulatory Reporting Officer
Location: London, UK
Employment Type: Contract
Venn Group are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Regulatory Reporting Officer to join a leading financial services organization in London. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all regulatory reporting requirements, maintaining accurate records, and contributing to the enhancement of reporting processes and systems.
This role is pivotal in ensuring the organization adheres to FCA, PRA, and other regulatory standards, supporting the business in managing regulatory risks effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
Regulatory Reporting & Compliance
*Prepare and submit accurate and timely regulatory reports (e.g., COREP, FINREP, LCR, NSFR, and other ad-hoc regulatory submissions) in line with FCA, PRA, and other relevant authorities.
*Monitor updates and changes in regulatory requirements, ensuring compliance with the latest standards.
*Conduct quality assurance reviews of submitted reports to identify and address discrepancies.
Data Analysis & Management
*Collaborate with finance, risk, and IT teams to ensure the accuracy and completeness of data used for regulatory reporting.
*Maintain and enhance the regulatory reporting framework, including data validation and reconciliation processes.
*Support the automation and optimization of reporting systems to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
Stakeholder Engagement
*Act as a point of contact for regulatory bodies during audits and inspections, providing timely responses and documentation.
*Liaise with internal teams and external advisors to address regulatory reporting queries and provide insights.
*Assist in preparing reports and presentations for senior management and board meetings.
Risk & Control Framework
*Develop and maintain robust processes and controls to mitigate reporting risks.
*Proactively identify and escalate any risks of non-compliance or data inaccuracies.
Key Skills and Experience:
*Proven experience in regulatory reporting within financial services, ideally in banking or investment firms.
*Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks (FCA, PRA, Basel III, CRD IV/CRR, etc.).
*Familiarity with reporting tools and systems (e.g., Axiom, Moody’s, or similar platforms).
*Advanced Excel skills; experience with data visualization and reporting tools is an advantage.
*Exceptional attention to detail and a proactive problem-solving approach.
*Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex regulatory information clearly.
*Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines effectively.
