Make a Difference in the Lives of Children - Work as a Residential Childcare Worker in Newcastle

North Tyneside Council in Newcastle is seeking caring and compassionate individuals to join our team as Residential Childcare Workers.
What you’ll do:
*Provide direct support to children and young people: You’ll work closely with children in a residential setting, offering guidance, encouragement, and practical assistance in their daily lives.
*Build strong relationships: You’ll create a supportive and positive environment, fostering their emotional well-being and promoting their development.
*Contribute to a safe and structured environment: You’ll play a key role in ensuring the safety and well-being of children, implementing routines and procedures to maintain a positive living environment.
*Collaborate with a team: You’ll work closely with other Residential Childcare Workers, supervisors, and professionals to develop personalized support plans for each child.
*Embrace a rewarding challenge: You’ll face a variety of situations and challenges, but also experience the immense satisfaction of helping children thrive.
What you’ll bring:
*A genuine passion for working with children and young people
*Strong communication and interpersonal skills
*The ability to build positive relationships with children and colleagues
*Patience, understanding, and a commitment to creating a safe and supportive environment
*A flexible and adaptable approach to work
*Min. 6 Months relevant experience working with children, such as in childcare or youth work
