Job Description:
Our client, a leading and award-winning UK law firm are now looking for a PA Manager for a 6 month fixed term contract. This firm are well known for their collaborative and supportive environment. This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly regarded firm, who have a forward thinking and innovative approach.
The PA Manager will work closely with the firms Head of Practice support, the Heads of Departments and Operations teams to ensure the smooth running of the day to day PA function. The PA Manager will manage, lead and develop individuals as well as promote a collaborative working environment across all teams.
Key responsibilities:
*Support team leaders with areas for improvement and addressing any performance and behaviour issues, and acting as a role model - encouraging motivation and a positive influence on team members
*Assist with performance reviews, attending meetings where needed, promoting constructive feedback with a view of motivating and enhancing performance in team members
*Work with Learning & Development and IT teams to identify any areas for training and improvement required
*Work closely with HR and the Head of Practice Support to manage any complex issues with emotional intelligence and good judgement
*Have regular catch ups with PAs to provide support, guidance, address any concerns they may have, and ensure their wellbeing and support with professional development
*Have regular catch ups with team leaders, business service managers and learning and development to discuss areas such as initiatives, process improvements and implementation, and training
*Attend and contribute to firm wide meetings, suggesting improvements and new ways of working for the PA and Document Production teams
*Have regular meetings with Partners and HR to ensure needs are met, review allocations and suggest any solutions and improvements
*Support with recruitment and attending interviews
*Build strong relationships with other business support teams
*Build rapport with key stakeholders and PA’s, demonstrating empathy, and professionalism, sensitivity and diplomacy
Key skills and experience:
*Previous experience in people management, with an understanding of HR policies and processes, and performance management
*Excellent interpersonal skills, able to build confidence and trust with others
*The ability to build relationships with those at all levels and across the firm, with the ability to influence senior managers
*Experience in implementing new processes and workflows
*A good sense of judgment with the ability to deal with difficult situations and remain calm under pressure
*Highly organised, with strong attention to detail and the ability to juggle multiple priorities
*A positive, ’can do’ and pro-active attitude
