Job Title: Assistant Accountant
Salary: £30-33k
Location: Hybrid working (3 days in office, 2 days from home)

Job Summary/Purpose:

Support the Finance Manager with daily finance functions and provide accurate information throughout the monthly finance reporting cycle.
Primary Responsibilities:
Sales Ledger:
*Weekly sales reporting
*Maintenance of the sales ledger
*Reviewing balance reports and completion statements
*Assisting with the sales budget process
*Ad hoc sales reporting
Payroll:
*Processing weekly payroll
*Supporting weekly paid employees and resolving queries
*Assisting with payroll input and reporting
Purchase Ledger:
*Processing supplier invoices
*Resolving invoice discrepancies
*Reconciling supplier statements
*Preparing weekly purchase ledger reports
Monthly Reporting:
*Assisting with monthly reporting
*Preparing balance sheet reconciliations
*General ledger journal preparation
*Preparing monthly reports
Other Duties:
*Assisting with cash book reporting and bank reconciliations
*Maintaining subcontract ledger and payment runs
*Supporting the annual budget reporting cycle
*Providing holiday cover and completing other finance requests as needed
Experience, Qualifications, Technical Requirements:
*AAT Qualified or equivalent
*Strong bookkeeping skills
*Experience in a busy finance department
*Experience with financial reports and reconciliation
*Ability to manage multiple ledgers
*Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
*Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work under pressure
