Job Description:
We are currently seeking a Damp & Mould Surveyor to join a well-established organisation on a temporary basis. As part of their Asset Management team, you will be responsible for a specific work stream, providing professional housing surveying services for the repair, maintenance, improvement, and re-servicing of council-owned, managed, and leased stock.
To be successful in this role, you should have considerable experience in building inspection work, identifying faults, preparing reports/specifications, and supervising building works. Experience in dealing with disrepair claims and attending court is also required. Moreover, your ability to successfully run contracts will be essential.
*Good Knowledge of Building Regulations
*Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012 and Health & Safety legislation
*Good knowledge of disrepair legislation
*Knowledge of HHSRS legislation
*Understanding of Landlord and Tenant legislation Good knowledge of leasehold issues within social housing
Formal training in one of the following areas is essential:
a) building technology/construction
b) repairs
c) estimating
d) contractual matters
