Project and Programme Officer - Clean Energy Strategy Team
*Hourly Rate: PAYE £27.72 / Umbrella £33.63
*Location: London SE1
*Job Type: Temporary (Immediate Start, Ongoing)
Join our Clean Energy Strategy Team as a Project and Programme Officer to assist in the delivery of the Mayor’s clean energy programmes. This role is pivotal in leading stakeholder engagement and contributing to the strategic reporting on clean energy investment and power purchase agreements.
Day-to-day of the role: *Assist in the delivery of the Mayor’s clean energy programmes, focusing on clean energy investment and power purchase agreements.
*Lead on engagement with key stakeholders from across the GLA Group and external organisations, including London Boroughs.
*Establish and maintain effective working relationships within and outside the Authority and with the Functional Bodies.
*Contribute to the reporting of progress, both written and oral, to the Mayor, his staff, and senior managers. This includes reporting to the Clean Energy Investment and Purchasing Working Group and Steering Committee.
*Prepare responses to queries and correspondence from Assembly members, media, and stakeholders across various sectors.
*Collaborate with teams across the GLA to ensure cohesive project execution.
*Uphold the Authority’s policies, Code of Ethics, and Standards, promoting equality and diversity in line with London’s diverse community needs.
Required Skills & Qualifications: *Degree (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline or demonstrable relevant experience.
*Proven experience in managing stakeholders across public, private, and non-profit sectors.
*Strong track record in project management, delivering results on target and within budget.
*Skilled in event organisation.
*Knowledge in areas such as fuel poverty, housing, sustainability, and the energy market is desirable.
