Job Description:
Financial Controller - Manufacturing
Location: Wakefield
Salary: £60,000 - £65,000
Elevation Senior Finance are currently looking to recruit a commercially focused Financial Controller in Wakefield on behalf of a fast-growing Manufacturing business that is set for continual growth over the next few years.
This is a fast-paced role that will form a crucial link between finance and the wider business. Producing the month-end results, whilst ensuring the board receives value-adding management reports which drive decision-making.
Key Duties and Responsibilities of the Financial Controller will include:
• Complete responsibility & autonomy for the running of the finance department
• Preparation of the monthly management accounts
• Managing the finance team, ensuring teams goals & objectives are compatible and in line with the overall company objectives
• Providing information to management to enable strategic growth, planning & control
• Future forecasting/modelling
• Cashflow management, including managing foreign currency exposure, bank reconciliation, and cash flow forecasting
• Compilation & presentation of monthly management report pack to Directors
• Month-end – stock valuation, accrual & prepayments, wages journals & other associated tasks
• Budget setting with departmental heads & monthly/quarterly variance reporting
• Working capital cycle reporting and management
• Compiling quarterly management accounts pack
• Liaising with key stakeholders/finance provider
The successful applicant will need to be able to demonstrate the following skills and experiences:
• ACA, CIMA, ACCA Qualified
• Advanced Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook skills
• Ability to work in a complex, fast-paced finance team
• Strong interpersonal, influencing and presentational skills
• Good project management skills and an ability to generate new ideas and be innovative
