Job Description:
Henlee Resourcing is working in partnership with this successful and expanding organisation with bases across Wiltshire to recruit an experienced HR Services Manager on a permanent basis to work 2-3 days per week from the Salisbury site / the rest of the week remotely. There will be some occasional adhoc travel across the Wiltshire area (but not frequent).
You will work closely with the Head of People Services and the People Services Team, taking responsibility for the HR function of your designated area. Managing 1 person (currently / this will increase), you will be responsible for advising, coaching and influencing stakeholders across the organisation to ensure consistent application of policies and people management practices.
About the role:
*Oversee and supervise all people services / day to day tasks and processes across the whole employee lifecycle
*Provide advice and support to leaders and managers on the best approach to implementing change management programmes, developments in work organisation and service provision including restructuring and redundancies, where required
*Act as an active panel member in hearings providing specialist advice to the panel up to and including decisions to dismiss
*Coach senior managers to build capability for managing their employees and embedding people skills and knowledge to achieve best practice outcomes
*Oversee and lead on the exit interview process, ensuring these are carried out consistently and reporting results as required
*Support the monthly payroll checking process, liaising with the Payroll Manager to ensure employees are paid correctly and on time every month, and that queries are responded to in a timely manner
*Support and contribute to the implementation of new pay and reward schemes including job evaluation and equal pay as and when required to ensure parity and to meet statutory requirements
*Provide cover for the Head of People Services as and when required
*Work independently ensuring all activity is consistent and in line with current policy and employment legislation
*Support the development of common reporting processes that keep Directors, Senior Leaders and Manager informed on performance indicators such as absences, labour turnover, appraisal compliance, reward and tracking of ER issues
*Support the creation and delivery of appropriate people related training interventions as and when required
*Promote equality and diversity consistently across the organisation
*Maintain and improve existing people processes and procedures, focusing on user experience, alignment with culture and values, as well as compliance with regulation and best practice
*Report any themes and trends identified to the Head of People Services
About You:
*Degree level qualification preferably in HR or Business-related field or CIPD level 5 (or at least studying towards it)
*Demonstrable breadth of generalist HR experience in ER, employee engagement, change management, codes of practice, legislation and project management
*Ideally experience of working within the public sector, NHS, charity or education sectors (ideally but not essential)
*Experience of managing a small team
*Experience of coaching and supporting managers across the full HR discipline
*Experience working and consulting with Trade Unions to achieve positive outcomes*
*Working knowledge of relevant policies, codes of practice, legislation and employment law, including TUPE and the Equality Act 2010
*Proficient in HR Systems with the ability to produce and analyse data
*Proven experience is streamlining and improving processes
*Able to provide pragmatic and commercial HR advice
*Excellent relationship building skills
*Be able to act confidentially and diplomatically
