Job Description:
Jim Lawrence Ironworks are seeking an experienced seamstress to join the Soft Furnishings department as a Soft Furnishings and Shade Assistant. Working for a family run manufacturing business, you will be proud of making soft furnishings for Jim Lawrence customers such as curtains, blinds, cushions, shades and tableware.
The ideal candidate will be a competent individual with a strong interest in detail to ensure that products are delivered to the highest standard. Ideally you will have an interest in fabrics/crafts making. Full training will be provided.
Key duties
· Work from printed sales orders to create curtains, blinds, cushions and tableware.
· Follow production orders indicating specifications and measurements.
· Assist with creating new products.
· Inspect finished items to ensure that work is of the highest quality.
· To operate within and adhere to the Health and Safety Policy in all aspects of the role.
Essential criteria
· Knowledge of curtain making and blinds.
· Competent seamstress.
· Experience in making soft furnishings.
Desirable criteria
An interest in fabrics/crafts making.

Work pattern - 07:30 - 16:00, Monday to Friday
Full time hours 40 hours per week
