Job Description:

This permanent role (full or part-time) offers the chance to lead a talented team of four, oversee critical financial operations, and play a pivotal role in shaping strategic decisions. From managing budgets and forecasts to engaging with key stakeholders and optimizing processes, this position is perfect for someone ready to make a meaningful impact.
Key responsibilities: *Manage and mentor a team of four, ensuring efficient workflow and professional development.
*Oversee all daily finance functions, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and cash flow management.
*Prepare and review monthly management accounts, budgets, and forecasts.
*Deliver accurate financial reporting to senior stakeholders, providing insights to support strategic decisions.
*Deep dive analysis into projects/sectors – focusing on performance and profitability
*Dealing with external stakeholders, including Banks, HMRC, Suppliers.
*Ensure adherence to statutory and regulatory requirements, including audits and tax filings.
*Identify opportunities to streamline financial processes and implement best practices as well as developing systems and reporting.
Key skills:
*Fully qualified ACCA/CIMA or qualified by experience
*Proven experience in a similar role, ideally within the events or B2B sectors
*Advanced knowledge of financial reporting systems and Excel
*Prior experience with implementing and streamlining processes
*Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team
*Ambitious and forward-thinking, with the drive to take on a Finance Director role within a few years
*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
