We’re currently seeking an Asbestos Safety & Compliance Officer to support the Safety and Compliance Specialist and wider Building Safety and Compliance team on all Asbestos safety matters on behalf of SNG.
The role will be based out of our New Modern Head Office in Basingstoke, with the flexibility to work from home a few days a week.
The role:
Working with our Safety and Compliance Specialist for Asbestos and other safety and Compliance Specialists, this role is key in ensuring effective management controls are in place to manage and mitigate SNG’s risk and responsibilities relating to all Asbestos management.
The successful applicant will be responsible for the effective and accurate management of new and existing asbestos data, through transparent contract management arrangements ensure that all remedial activities are identified, recorded, actioned, and closed in line with our internal policies and regulatory requirements.
What we’re looking for:
*Demonstrable knowledge and experience of Asbestos Management in the Housing Sector
*P405 Management of Asbestos (or willing to work towards)
*Demonstrable experience of working to deadlines, balancing competing priorities and
*achieving targets through own work and work driven through teams
*Experience of working effectively with others in a complex and dynamic environment
*Good oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
*Ability to communicate responsibilities to data users and assure the proper use of data within their domain
*Good understanding of data breaches, associated implications and industry standards of preventing/triaging a breach
*Proven evidence of the ability to create, test and update process diagrams
*Proficient use of Microsoft office suite with Intermediate or advanced Excel skills
