Behaviour Support Mentor - Milton Keynes
Empower Students to Succeed in a Supportive School Environment
Are you driven by a desire to help young people overcome challenges and thrive in their education? Do you have the resilience and determination to positively influence the lives of secondary school students?
We are seeking proactive and compassionate Behaviour Support Mentors to join an inclusive and forward-thinking Secondary Academy in Milton Keynes. Starting in January, this is an excellent opportunity for individuals who excel in building strong relationships with students and addressing barriers to learning, particularly those with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs or at risk of exclusion.
Key Responsibilities:
*Provide targeted support for students with Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and SEMH needs.
*Assist in classrooms, collaborate with external professionals, and engage with families to support student progress.
*Act as a reliable and consistent role model, promoting positive behaviour and improving attendance.
What We’re Looking For:
*Experience or Qualifications: Relevant experience working with students with SEN or SEMH, or degree-qualified candidates eager to support young learners.
*Commitment: Full-time availability (Monday-Friday, 8:30 am - 3:00 pm) with potential for permanent opportunities.
*Skills and Approach: A positive mindset, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build trust with students.
*Location: Based in or near Milton Keynes, with easy access to transport links and parking facilities.
*Compliance: Two recent professional references and an up-to-date DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
