Job Description:
Robert Half are delighted to be supporting an exciting organisation in central Bath on the recruitment of a permanent Finance Assistant to join the team. Working closely with a Head of Finance, you will play a pivotal role in the day to day running of the Finance operations.
The ideal candidate will have previously worked in an Accounts or Finance Assistant position and be keen to work for a professional business who take pride in what they do.
Our client adopts a hybrid working model that would require you on site in a central Bath office for 3 days per week.
Responsibilities of the Finance Assistant will include but not be limited to:
*Manage both the complete accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
*Ensure timely and accurate submission of receipts for company expenses card payment and record them in an accounting system.
*Maintain the prepayment spreadsheet and posting journal entries.
*Keeping the fixed asst register update and process monthly journals
*Perform bank reconciliations.
*Support the Head of Finance with month end closing processes, preparing financial reports and reporting.
*Supporting with the monthly payroll process and HR administrative tasks as required.
Your Profile:
*Previous experience working in an Accounts/Finance Assistant position.
*Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy and time management skills.
*Can be either AAT qualified/studying or qualified by experience.
*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to be able to manage strong working relationships.
In return, the successful candidate can expect a salary of between £28-32k (dependant on experience) plus benefits including 24 days holiday plus bank holidays, discretionary bonus scheme, enhanced maternity/paternity scheme, health insurance and much more.
