Job Description:
Our client, a large international organisation within the Financial Services sector, is looking for an experienced Assistant Company Secretary to join them in this newly created role.
This role is hybrid, 2-3 days in the London office.
This prominent international organisation operates across more than 80 countries and ranks among the top 20 largest employee-owned businesses in the UK. In line with its ongoing growth and dedication to strengthening corporate governance, it has introduced a new position for an Assistant Company Secretary.
The Company Secretarial department comprises over 20 professionals divided into three teams: UK & Ireland, International, and Group-level Governance. This role will sit within the newly established Group Governance team and report to the Deputy Company Secretary. The team’s primary focus is to oversee and support all Company Secretarial and governance activities at the group level.
In addition to Board and Committee support, this role will offer the chance to be involved in the development/enhancement of the groups corporate governance framework, policies and procedures, as well as involvement in M&A activity and group-wide corporate projects.
The ideal candidate for this role will have 5+ years Company Secretarial experience, within a plc or Financial Services. You will either be ICSA/CGI qualified, or be interested in pursuing this qualification.
