Role: Childcare Solicitor or Legal Executive
Location: Taunton (other locations available in Somerset)
Hours: Full Time

What will you do?
*Specialise in public law childcare cases
*These will include all child protection issues, and all other legal matters involving children
*Act for parents, guardians and children
*Advise on all public law matters, including care and supervision orders, emergency protection orders and adoption cases
*Ensure compliance with Legal Aid Agency guidelines and manage the legal aid certification process
*Conduct advocacy in the Family Court and liaise with Counsel when necessary
*Work closely with local authorities, Children’s Guardians, social services, and other agencies involved in child protection cases
*Attend court hearings, case management conferences, and directions hearings
*When appropriate build out a care team
What do you need? 
*To be a qualified solicitor or legal executive
*Ideally 4+ years’ experience handling your own Childcare Law caseload
*Child Panel Membership would be ideal, but a willingness to get membership will be sufficient
