Civils & Cabling Operative

Our mission relies on a team full of inspiring people, and we’re looking for a new team of Civils & Cabling Operatives to join our FTTP Team. This role will provide civils-based activities to build and maintain Fibre to the premises. You could be working on duct blockage repairs, duct/tube laying and cabling.

For this role, experience in civils based work is essential, this could be across multiple utilities, however telecommunication experience is desirable.

- Delivering tasks outlined in a design work pack, or by way of instruction to perform civils-based tasks from ducting to blockage clearance and repair.
- Effectively interpret utility service prints
- Report daily workload to Engineering Manager, supervisor and coordination team. Highlighting any challenges and suggesting potential solutions
- Have a safety focused attitude to completing work.
- Contribute to teams’ performance and challenge improvements at every opportunity.
- Focus on quality and delivering industry leading standards.

- O1 - Signing, lighting and guarding
- O2 - Excavation in the highway
- EUSR or equivalent
- O3 - Reinstatement and compaction of backfill materials.
- O4 - Reinstatement of sub-base and base in non-bituminous materials
- O5 - Reinstatement in cold lay bituminous materials
- O6 - Reinstatement in hot-lay bituminous materials
- O7 - Reinstatement of concrete slabs
- O8 - Reinstatement of modular surfaces, concrete footways
- LA – Location & Avoidance of underground generators.
- Full UK Driving License.
Desirable
- SA006 - Safe Working in Civils
- Q019 (CD1) - Core Drilling
- Q020 (DB1) - Duct Blockages
- Cabling Experience / Qualification
- SA002, S7 (BT Openreach certification)
