Are you an organised, confident and proactive credit controller with a passion for delivering excellent customer service? Our client, a growing family business, is seeking a Credit Controller to join their finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in managing customer accounts, ensuring smooth cash flow and working with an excellent team.
What You’ll Do
*Act as the main point of contact for customer account queries, building and maintaining strong relationships.
*Monitor and control customer debts, prioritising cash flow and minimising risk.
*Evaluate new and existing accounts for creditworthiness and recommend appropriate credit terms.
*Manage reconciliation tasks, including customer portals and integrations (EDI).
*Create and distribute account statements, overdue letters, and credit status reports.
*Collaborate closely with sales and finance teams to resolve issues and improve processes.
*Provide exceptional service while adhering to strict procedures.
Key Skills & Experience
*Credit control experience.
*Strong organisational and time management skills.
*Proficiency in Excel, Outlook, and accounting software.
*A customer-focused approach with excellent communication and relationship management abilities.
*Analytical mindset with problem-solving skills.
*Resilience and the ability to thrive under pressure and manage high workloads.
*A friendly, confident and personable personality!
Extras
*Monday to Friday, 8am - 5pm
*40 hours per week
*22 days holiday plus bank holidays, with the opportunity to buy more
