History Teacher *Annual Salary: Competitive

An esteemed educational institution in Wokingham is seeking a dedicated History Teacher to join their vibrant teaching team. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to a well-respected history department and help shape the minds of eager young historians.
Day-to-day of the role: *Plan, prepare, and deliver inspiring history lessons that engage and challenge students across Key Stages 3 to 5.
*Assess, record, and report on the development, progress, and attainment of students.
*Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the national curriculum and assessment criteria for history and use this to inform teaching practice.
*Foster a stimulating learning environment that promotes curiosity about the past and its impact on the present.
*Participate in departmental meetings, parent evenings, and whole school training events.
*Collaborate with colleagues to develop new curriculum materials and effective teaching strategies.
Required Skills & Qualifications: *Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK.
*Degree in History or a closely related subject.
*Proven experience in teaching history at secondary school level.
*Strong organisational and communication skills.
*Ability to create and maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
*Passion for history and education.
