Randstad Education Leeds are assisting a Primary School in Leeds appoint a Business Manager. This is a full time permanent position in a thriving and inclusive school which is committed to providing a high-quality education for pupils. They are passionate about fostering a supportive and nurturing learning environment where every child can reach their full potential. They are looking for a Business Manager who shares the same values and can contribute to the schools ongoing success.
About the Role:
As School Business Manager, you will play a crucial role in the day-to-day financial and operational management of the school. This will involve:
*Financial Management:
* Overseeing the school’s budget, including forecasting, planning, and monitoring expenditure.
* Managing financial records, accounts payable and receivable, and preparing financial reports.
* Ensuring compliance with all relevant financial regulations.
*Operational Management:
* Managing the school’s facilities, including maintenance, repairs, and health and safety.
* Overseeing procurement and contracting for goods and services.
* Managing the school’s human resources, including recruitment, payroll, and employee relations.
* Leading and motivating a team of support staff.
*Strategic Planning:
* Contributing to the school’s strategic planning process, identifying and addressing financial and operational challenges.
* Developing and implementing cost-effective solutions to support the school’s educational goals.
We are looking for someone who:
*Possesses a strong understanding of financial management principles and practices.
*Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
*Is a highly organised and efficient individual with a strong attention to detail.
*Has experience working in a school or similar environment (preferred).
*Is committed to providing high-quality support to the school and its staff.
*A business manager qualification would be desirable but not essential
