Job Description:
Accounts Assistant.Ashton-in-Makerfield.35 hours per week. £25,000 per annum

Based in Ashton-in-Makerfield postcode WN4 postcode. Accounts Assistant. 35 hours per week 9.00am - 5.00pm, 1 hour for lunch, 25 days holidays plus bank holidays, hybrid working (3 days in the office, 2 at home) after 6 months training. Paying £25,000 per annum. The company and they have a great reputation and low staff turnover.
As the Accounts Assistant you will be working in a team of three and duties will include:
Duties include:
*Prepare and identify cash received to the correct account/site.
*Import cash batches from UK and Eire to allocate the cash to the correct account/site
*Post cash batches to the system and print error reports
*Produce reports for failed allocations
*Investigate and resolve unallocated cash
*Process data from external merchants’ contactless portal & download
*Check and reformat the downloaded Excel files so that it is acceptable for import
*Investigate cashless income imported that will not allocate. Repair. Allocate
*Post the contactless income to the correct account/site
*Direct contact with the end user if required by email or by telephone.
Required skills
*A proven ability to investigate complex & challenging queries
*Excellent Excel skills are critical
*Attention to detail, mathematical competence and general accuracy of work are all important skills and, in particular, the ability to think for oneself.
*The ability to work as part of a team
