The Opportunity:
Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young learners? Long Term Futures is seeking a dedicated Student Support Mentor to work in a vibrant primary school in Barking. Starting in January, this role involves mentoring and supporting pupils in Key Stages 1 and 2, helping them develop positive behaviors, build resilience, and fully engage with their learning. The school prides itself on fostering a nurturing and inclusive environment where every child can thrive.
Your Role in the School:
*Serve as a consistent and approachable mentor for pupils needing additional behavioral and emotional support.
*Lead small group sessions to help children build skills such as social interaction, emotional regulation, and confidence.
*Provide targeted one-to-one support for pupils facing challenges that may impact their learning.
*Collaborate with teachers and families to develop tailored strategies and action plans for individual pupils.
*Promote a positive and respectful classroom culture that celebrates achievements and encourages good behavior.
*Support whole-school initiatives, assemblies, and activities to foster personal growth and inclusion.
