Job Description:
Reed Finance are currently recruiting for an ambitious Finance Director looking to join a highly successful and growing SME.
This role involves overseeing all financial transactions, planning, and commercial operations to ensure the financial health and prosperity of the business. The successful candidate will act as a strategic partner to senior leadership, providing financial insights and commercial expertise to drive decision-making whilst growing and developing in the role alongside the organisation’s financial growth.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the organisation’s goals. Lead budgeting, forecasting, and scenario analysis.
*Manage the preparation of accurate financial reports, monitor performance metrics, and present insights to stakeholders.
*Work across departments to optimise commercial performance, analyse market trends, and support contract negotiations.
*Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and effective communication.
*Oversee cash flow and liquidity, manage credit control, and optimise working capital.
*Provide strategic financial guidance to senior leaders and manage relationships with external stakeholders.
*Evaluate and enhance financial systems, implement new technologies, and drive process improvements.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Full accounting qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
*Profound understanding of financial principles, accounting standards, and financial modelling.
*Strong commercial awareness with the ability to link financial performance to strategy.
*Proven ability to lead and develop a high-performing finance team.
*Ability to anticipate financial trends and challenges.
*Excellent presentation skills, capable of influencing stakeholders.
*Strong analytical skills focused on continuous improvement.
