Tutor for the Visually Impaired - Newham - East London
Are you a passionate and experienced tutor with expertise in supporting visually impaired children and those with special educational needs (SEN)? We are seeking a dedicated professional to work one-on-one with a child in Newham, East London, providing tailored educational support that nurtures their potential.
Remedy are looking for a tutor who can support a visually impaired student with ASD.
Key Responsibilities
*Deliver individualised tutoring sessions, adapting teaching methods to meet the child’s unique learning needs.
*Utilise specialised resources and technologies for visually impaired students.
*Foster an inclusive, engaging, and supportive learning environment.
*Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and other professionals to ensure consistent and effective support.
*Monitor and document progress, adjusting strategies as needed to achieve learning goals.
Tutor requirements:
*Professional Teaching Qualifications (QTS / QTLS / PGCE / B.Ed / PTLLS / DTLLS / CELTA)
*Minimum 2 years teaching experience
*Experience working with young people with Additional Educational Needs
*Experience, knowledge and understanding of safeguarding processes
*Enhanced DBS (we can help obtain this at cost if needed)
*Two professional references
