SEMH Teacher
Location: Birkenhead
Start Date: January 2025
Salary: from £170 per day
Are you a dedicated and compassionate educator with a passion for making a difference in the lives of students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)? We are seeking a committed SEMH Teacher to join our team and provide valuable support and guidance to students who require additional assistance to thrive academically and socially.
Responsibilities:
*Create and implement tailored lesson plans to meet the specific needs of students with SEMH.
*Provide individualised support and accommodations for students with a wide range of disabilities and learning difficulties.
*Foster an inclusive and supportive classroom environment that promotes the social and academic development of all students.
*Collaborate with special education professionals, parents, and support staff to develop and review Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
*Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting teaching methods and materials as necessary.
*Utilise assistive technology and other resources to enhance the learning experience for students with SEND.
*Maintain detailed records of student performance and development.
Requirements:
*Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching certification.
*This role is suitable for ECTs requiring induction completion.
*Specialisation or additional training in Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) is highly desirable.
*Experience working with students with SEND, including autism, MLD, SLD, and other complex disabilities.
*Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
*Patience, empathy, and a genuine commitment to supporting the unique needs of students with SEND.
*A clear background check and relevant safeguarding certifications may be required.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
