Production Controller - Up to £35,000 Per Annum
Monday Friday, 9am - 5pm - Burton upon Trent

Macildowie Supply Chain & Procurement is delighted to have partnered with a manufacturing organisation in Burton upon Trent to recruit a Production Controller.

The key objective is to support the wider procurement and production teams with stock forecasting, stock management and work orders, ensuring stock availability and raising any concerns with stock to internal stakeholders.

Main Responsibilities
*Launch works orders to the system when BoM has been released from engineering.
*Liaise with Sales, Production, Engineering, Purchasing, Materials Handling to ensure agreement is reached for works order release and administration.
*Plan and monitor work flow, as well as material movement in production cycles to ensure continuous operations.
*Provide clear communication on job progress, issues and solutions to internal stakeholders.
*Navigate through our clients Sage ERP system to ensure stock availability, update orders, track/manage stock, planning stock deliveries and open/close work orders.
*Coordinate purchasing activities to supply parts at planned times, considering estimated order quantities and lead times, while optimising costs.
*Collaborate with stores and production teams regarding kitting of parts and knitting dates.
*Regularly reviewing inventory forecasts on Excel, supporting with maintaining a business build plan as well as reviewing job costing.

The Candidate
*Previous experience operating in a Production Controlling/Production Coordination role or similar.
*Proficient user of Excel including Pivot Tables, Vlookups and ideally VBA Macros.
*Ability to comfortably review stock forecasts in Excel and relay any trends or issues regarding stock to stakeholders internally.
*Able to travel to Burton upon Trent.
*Excellent communication skills.
