Job Description:
Job Title: Production Planning Administrator
A leading pharmaceutical contract packaging supplier to the healthcare industry in Europe is seeking a Planning Assistant for their manufacturing facility in Newcastle.
Key Responsibilities:
*Develop material plans in alignment with on-site production requirements.
*Manage supplier orders and schedule inbound materials to maintain optimal stock levels for operations.
*Optimize materials, equipment, and manpower to achieve efficiencies and deliver excellent customer service.
*Collaborate with quality, warehouse, technical, and production teams to minimize downtime and streamline processes.
*Generate conformance reports to support planning and monitor KPIs.
*Assist with supplier negotiations and contribute to improvement projects in production.
Candidate Requirements:
*Previous experience in a planning environment or similar role.
*Strong ability to work collaboratively within a multifunctional team.
*Excellent communication, organization, and prioritization skills.
*Proficiency in SAGE 1000 and a strong understanding of cGMP and associated control requirements.
*Advanced IT skills, particularly in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).
Position Details:
*Full-time, 37.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM).
*Competitive salary of £23,000 (pro rata) with potential adjustments in line with NMW changes in April.
*10-month contract (maternity cover) with the possibility of becoming permanent.
Start Date:
*Immediate need; training to begin before the start of maternity leave in mid-January.
