As a Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional care to residents, ensuring they feel comfortable, valued, and supported every day.
Key Responsibilities:
*Provide compassionate support to residents, ensuring their dignity and respect at all times.
*Assist with daily personal care routines, including washing, dressing, and mobility.
*Support residents with dementia and cognitive impairments, offering tailored care to meet individual needs.
*Encourage and support residents to engage in a variety of activities, promoting mental and physical well-being.
*Build strong, meaningful relationships with residents, their families, and the wider care team.
*Administer medication as directed and monitor resident health and well-being.
*Assist with meal preparation, ensuring dietary needs are met and meals are enjoyed.
*Contribute to the care plans for each resident, ensuring all needs are met and continuously improved.
What We’re Looking For:
*Previous experience in a care environment is preferred but not essential - we offer online training.
*A caring, empathetic, and patient personality with a passion for supporting the elderly.
*Understanding of dementia care and the challenges it brings is an advantage.
*Ability to work well as part of a team as well as independently.
*Excellent communication skills to engage with residents, families, and colleagues.
*A flexible, adaptable, and positive attitude towards care work.
*An understanding of safeguarding and confidentiality in a care environment.
