CAD Detailer / Draughtsman

Salary: £30,000 - £36,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications
Your main responsibilities:
*Create detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings for architectural metalwork projects.
*Collaborate with project managers and installation teams to ensure designs meet project specifications and timelines.
*Conduct site surveys to gather measurements and assess project requirements.
*Produce comprehensive material and bolt lists for fabrication and installation.
*Maintain organized project documentation and ensure accuracy throughout the design process.
*Stay updated on industry standards and best practices to enhance design efficiency and effectiveness.
The ideal candidate:
*A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a CAD detailing role, specifically within the architectural metalwork and steel fabrication sector.
*Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D) with some familiarity in 3D modelling (not essential).
*Experience in designing steel staircases, balustrades, handrails, and balconies.
*Knowledge of stainless steel and glazed balustrade systems.
*CSCS card holder to facilitate site surveys and inspections.
*Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.
*A clean driving licence to support site visits when necessary.
*Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
